The Research Center for Children, Youth & Families, Inc. d/b/a ASEBA (“RCCYF”) is strongly committed to protecting your privacy online when visiting our web site. RCCYF knows that you care how information about you is used and shared and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. This privacy notice outlines the information RCCYF will collect on the RCCYF web site and how we will use that information. By visiting aseba.org and/or https://store.aseba.org, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

TYPES AND USES OF PERSONAL INFORMATION.

The only information RCCYF obtains about individual visitors to its web site is that supplied voluntarily by visitors (e.g. name, company name, title, e-mail address, physical address). In cases when RCCYF may need additional personal information to provide visitors with customized content or to inform them about new features or services, visitors are explicitly asked for that information.

RCCYF also collects certain personal information with respect to its customers in order to provide you with its services. Such personal information collected by RCCYF is kept strictly confidential and is used for internal purposes only, including, but not limited to, providing you with requested services, improving our marketing and promotional efforts, statistically analyzing web site usage, improving our content and web site offerings, and customizing our web sites’ content and layout. RCCYF also uses your information to create aggregate reports; however, these reports do not contain any personally identifiable information. We believe these uses allow us to improve the RCCYF web site and online store, and to better tailor them to meet our users’ needs.

Examples of the information we collect and analyze include the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; login; e-mail address; password; computer and connection information such as browser type and version, operating system, and platform; the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through, and from our web site and online store, including date and time; cookie number; products you viewed or searched for; and phone number used to call our Customer Service or Technical Support phone numbers.

HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION.

  • For Usage Analytics and Experience Analysis: We may provide data to third-party analytics tools, including those that provide analytics services for processing and displaying user activity data. This could include tools that monitor individual usage behavior to help us better understand how you are using RCCYF’s services. This analysis is done by our internal team or by contracted consultants we may hire who agree to protect your personal information.
  • For Communication Needs: We may need to contact you and therefore may use a third-party email or messaging tool, or other communication services.
  • For Storing and Processing Data: We may use third-party cloud services to store and process your data to make it accessible to you through your devices with internet connections.
  • For Payment: If you are using a paid service, we will disclose your information to a payment or credit card processing service to complete your payment.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may share personal information outside of RCCYF if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:
    – Meet any law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request applicable to us.
    – Provide information to attorneys, accountants and consultants to help us comply with legal, accounting, or security requirements.
    – Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.

We may share non-identifying information about your activities that doesn’t include your name or email address. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about general use of our services.

California Do Not Track Disclosures: California law requires that we let you know how we respond to web browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals. Because there is not an industry or legal standard for recognizing or honoring DNT signals, we do not respond to them at this time.
